Mbappe stands out as France beat Kazakhstan in a World Cup qualifier
France winners of the 2022 World Cup are left with a game remaining after Kylian Mbappe's four goals helped them beat Kazakhstan 8-0 in their Group D qualifier on Saturday.
The result left France top of the group with 15 points from seven matches, four ahead of second-placed Finland in their final match on Tuesday. Karim Benzema added two goals and Adrien Rabiot and Antoine Griezmann scored each to close out France. at next year's 32-nation tournament in Qatar.
Coach Didier Deschamps combined for 3-4-3 with Kingsley Coman planted as a right-back and the offensive strategy produced a lot of goals as France's natural talent shone.

The flood gates opened after Mbappe shot France ahead in the sixth minute with a fine first-half shot from Theo Hernandez's side, the home team still two gears ahead of the Kazakhs.
Mbappe added a second in the 12th minute with an easy finish in the empty net past the defender after Coman ran right, and finished the hat-trick of the first half in 32 when he headed the full inch ball from Coman.

The Frenchman did not remove their footing after the break and quickly increased their profit with two quick goals from Benzema, who scored a fourth with Hernandez's help before Mbappe became a supplier.
Rabiot scored his first international goal in the 75th minute when he hit a header from Griezmann's corner before the last was a 42-point penalty, surpassing Michel Platini as his country's third-top scorer.
